filming has just wrapped on the video for jay-z's
"99 problems". the shoot, which took place in and around brooklyn's
"marcy houses" (jay-z's
childhood home), was directed by mark romanek, and will feature a special
apprearance by rick
rubin - the track's producer. (this is rick's first appearance in
a music-video since ll
cool j's "going back to cali" in 1989.) mtv
documented the five day shoot for an episode of "making
the video". "99 problems" was produced for anonymous
content by mala vasan. the cinematographer was jaoquin
baca-asay, the production was designed by happy
massee, the wardrobe was styled by mark anthony and crystal
streets, and it will be edited by robert
duffy. the video, which could be jay-z's
last, will break sometime in late march.
